Time Starved in the Kitchen (it's really an issue of energy)

I think it's fair to say that most of us feel like we are short on time - and at the same time, we all have the same 24 hours in a day.

What differentiates us, is our personal responsibilities and priorities.

To get at the root of this time problem, we have to go beyond "time management" to overcome the feeling of being time starved - and instead do the deeper work of dropping what drains our energy and gets in the way of our basic need for nutrition and self care.

Have you ever wondered if your inability to get a handle on your time spent in the kitchen, could be due to not spending enough MINDFUL time in the kitchen in the first place?

Food is medicine.

When you are not well nourished, you won't be able to stay on top of anything well, because improper nourishment leads to a lack of energy, depression, and brain fog - all of which cause you to waste time - at best you fall prey to distraction and at worst, it leads to dis-ease.

If you spend a lot of time on social media and watching TV, you DO have time.

If you are a work-a-holic, you need to deal with that.

Those two states of being are just opposite sides of the same coin - a waste of energy.

Instead of scrolling or living in front of the TV or sitting glued to your computer, you could be taking action in the kitchen preparing food that build your energy and actually increase your overall efficiency and productivity.

It's not that you don't have enough time, it's that you don't have enough energy.

I want to help you overcome this static state and learn to manage your energy (lack of time is simply the effect of mis-managing your energy).

Here is how getting immersed in the Delish Diet approach can help you learn how to manage both your time and energy in the kitchen:

- Drop draining and competing priorities.
- Learn how to delegate and come up with creative solutions to your challenges in the kitchen
- Identify your food prep type and learn how to create a kitchen rhythm in tune with your natural flow.
- Create repeatable systems in your kitchen, so that you don't have to waste energy having to think about what to make.
- Set your kitchen up in a way that feels abundant and calls to you.

It's time to stop being hard on yourself and start getting hard on the problem!

Even though it might feel like an insurmountable challenge to get on top of your life in the kitchen, it's not even close to impossible.

Think of it this way.

What if the aforementioned was your JOB description and you were PAID really well to do it?

Do you think you could do it then?

Of course you could!

Well the truth is that when you do make it a priority, focus on it and learn how to manage your time and energy in the kitchen efficiently, you DO get paid WELL - in ENERGY.

When you build your body's physical energy through proper diet and lifestyle, you get your mental energy back - which means you can move forward in life on a strong basis of health and well-being with your tank full and your cup overflowing.

When you have taken proper care of your self, you'll have the confidence and energy you need to do EVERYTHING else more efficiently.

You really have to put your health first, because without your health, you really can't give yourself fully to anything.

Put the time in now to build your energy and make your years longer with a future of good health (how's that for manifesting more time)?!

The power is in your hands!

By the way, this hasn't always been easy for me either. It's a practice that like you, I have to keep coming back to.

I've struggled a lot too - from avoiding the kitchen altogether - to eating out a lot - to slaving over the stove. It has taken me 20 plus years to learn and embody true kitchen wisdom.

You don't need to reinvent the wheel and you don't have to figure it all out on your own.

It just takes practice.

Let's do this together!
