What makes you different than other weight loss mentors?

What separates me from other weight loss mentors is that I’ve been in your shoes. You'll be relieved to know that I am not one of those ‘make it look easy’ fitness junkies or ‘always been skinny chicks' who just can’t figure out why you can’t stick with counting calories or an exercise routine - I actually used to be obese! Like you, I can’t be bothered to count anything and personally, I would much rather ‘work’ than work out!
But what really sets my work apart is that I take an inside - out approach to weight loss. The Delish Diet is the world's most holistic approach to letting the weight go. We don't just focus on the body, but address the metaphysical and emotional causes of your weight gain too.

Is this a low carb diet?

No, the Delish Diet is not low carb, but it is carbohydrate strategic.

When desiring to lose weight, one must be strategic when it comes to carbs because too many (even healthy whole food ones) can stimulate fat storage hormones and yet too little can can weaken the endocrine system leading to a slower metabolism.

We don't count carbs, but we do eat them in a very strategic, yet intuitive way that doesn't trigger fat storage.

The closer you get to your ideal weight the more balanced your blood sugar becomes and as a result your carb tolerance increases - and that means you can include them more often without gaining weight.

Is your approach Keto?

The Delish Diet is NOT keto.

While the keto diet is excellent for getting past a weight loss plateau or used periodically as a healing or regenerative diet, I don’t find it a desirable (or natural) as a lifetime strategy.

Here's why…. 
1) it requires proper formulation and supplementation to prevent negative side effects (and I am not just talking keto flu or rash, I'm talking nerve, muscle and heart symptoms).
2) far too many people are doing it half ass (they are not actually in a ketogenic state) and they include unhealthy processed foods like diet sodas, processed low carb foods and artificial sweeteners which are not sustainable for health
3) the ketogenic diet was never intended for weight loss, it was originally developed in the early 1920’s as a therapeutic diet for epilepsy
4) finally, being in a ketogenic state is only natural to humans periodically during certain seasons and environmental conditions - to accommodate for food shortages - not to be a way of life

In my opinion if you have to count your macronutrient ratios or take supplements to make a diet healthy, then that is a sign that what you are doing isn’t natural or sustainable.

I can't be bothered to do either - and that is why I developed the Delish Diet - to get you into fat burning mode without having to go too low carb or permanently live in a ketogenic state.

You don't have to be in a ketogenic state to burn fat anyway. If you don’t plan to make the ketogenic diet your forever lifestyle, then you can expect to gain all the weight back when you reinstate your old ways - just the same way you would expect the same  from all other diets you temporarily go on.

The Delish Diet is not a temporary fix, it is a permanent diet and lifestyle change - for permanent results.

If you are not willing to live the Delish Diet way indefinately, then don't even bother.

If you are not planning to transform your lifestyle permanently, you are destined to keep struggling with your weight. In that case, you might as well just join the fat acceptance movement and stop obsessing about it already.

I don't mean to be rude, I  am just being honest. I am saving you from time, money and energy wasted doing diets that don't work long term. If you are not going to get serious about a permanent lifestyle change, then accept that you are fat and focus your energy on something else.

At the same time, consider that if you are not in an optimal state of health, you will not be able to reach your full potential in your other endeavours either.

Which brings us back to the root cause of being overweight.

If you are overweight, it is because you are not as healthy as you could be. 

It may be common to be overweight these days but that doesn't mean it is normal or natural. Unfortunately our culture tends to normalize pathology - perpetuating the victim mentality and bonding over it.

Your body is not holding on to fat for fun - your extra fat is a symptom. Your body speaks to you through symptoms and it is  trying to tell you that something is wrong. 

You need to prioritize health before what the scales says. Weight loss comes as a good side effect of optimal health.

The Delish Diet is a diet and lifestyle in line with your natural human diet and habitat.

When you get back into alignment with your true nature, you get healthy and your weight normalizes.  

Can I do this as a vegan?

Although the Delish Diet in general is not vegan or vegetarian, it can be customized that way.

The cleanse we use is 100% vegan friendly.

I was vegetarian for 13 years so I have a lot of knowledge, understanding and empathy for the decision not to consume animal products.

At the same time, consider that if the vegan diet isn't working for you anymore to keep you healthy - and as a result of that you are no longer at a natural weight - then it may not be right for you anymore or at this time.

You may temporarily (at the very least) need to use animal foods as medicine to bring your body back into balance. 

If you are overweight - then your current diet obviously isn't working for you regardless of how clean or compassionate it is.

Ask yourself if it is really worth it to be rigid/right about your personal position to the detriment of your health or if you are willing to take a flexible approach that respects the unique needs of where your body is currently at.

Once your body is able to tolerate carbohydrates again, then you can reconsider from a strong basis of health.

Who are your clients?

I work with women who are ready now to finally end their struggle with weight and are willing to do what it takes to let it go once and for all.

My perfect clients are women who like to go deep.

You should be super-ready to get going (like yesterday) and want to know exactly what steps to take to lose the weight and keep it off permanently.  

I am going to be honest with you, here is what you are going to need to be willing to do….

  1. attend all the sessions in your package within the stated time frame
  2. do the Delish Diet Deep Cleanse for 3 weeks minimum to maximize your results
  3. eliminate everything from your kitchen that makes you fat and replace it with foods that get and keep you thin
  4. throw out all toxic personal care and cleaning products and replace them with natural non obesogenic ones
  5. go ‘all in’ for a permanent diet and lifestyle change
  6. do things outside of your comfort zone (ie: cook new recipes, try new foods, cleansing, fasting).
  7. study the e-course materials in between sessions and come to your  sessions prepared with your questions
  8. do the homework
  9. get organized and prioritize meal planning and prep on a weekly basis
  10. cook, learn to cook or hire a personal chef
  11. keep getting back on the horse (indefinitely) to achieve and maintain my ideal weight

If you are not willing to do even one of the above, then there is no point in working together. 

Willing just means that you are willing to learn, not that you have to know how at this point - just that you are committed to finding out and doing the work.

If you are 100% committed to doing whatever it takes, until you reach your goal, I can't wait to be by your side to witness you transform your self from the inside out!

How quickly can I expect to lose weight?

You can easily lose 10-15 lbs in the first 3 weeks if you follow the program impeccably.

How quickly you continue to lose weight depends on how damaged your metabolism is, how long you've been overweight and how much you have to lose in the first place.

While we all want the quickest results possible, the most important thing is that you keep losing consistently and sustainably. I will be by your side with proven strategies to help you move past weight loss plateaus.

The point isn't just to lose weight. The point is to keep it off.

After the initial 15lbs that comes off with the cleanse, you can lose up to 4 lbs per month. This may sound painfully slow  but it is a healthy amount that reflects the permanency of your results.

The truth about how long it takes to actually lose weight might hurt, but I'm committed to transformation and permanency, not to fast results that inevitably lead to rebound weight gain.  

I don't care how long it takes. What I care about is that you get to your ideal weight and stay there. 

If you are just looking for a quick fix and you are not interested in a lifestyle change, I am not the mentor for you.

The more out of balance your  body is, the slower you lose weight. You have to manage your expectations.

As you become healthier, you lose weight quicker. 

That means the closer you get to your ideal weight, the faster your results.

Anyone and their dog can formulate a restrictive plan with a ton of exercise to get you losing a lot of weight fast.

The results of that are that you will gain it back (and more) the minute you go back to your old ways - and you will - because let's face it willpower runs out. You've probably already experienced this cycle enough times for yourself to know it's true.

You don't need another diet plan, you need a paradigm shift. You need to adopt a new way of thinking and being around food.

Your mentality about what it takes to lose weight must change.

Who are my programs not for?

I am very selective in who I work with. I cherry-pick my clients, choosing to (gently) turn away people who aren’t suited for my programs - based on their hesitation or lack of commitment (it wouldn’t be fair to them). People who can't make quick decisions, implement what I ask in a timely manner and don't show up fully in all aspects of the program, simply won’t get the results.

I won’t work with whiners or complainers, as well as individuals who consistently make excuses for not doing the work or 'know it alls' who think ' I already know this' (if you are not doing it, you don't know 'shit' - you only know 'about it').

Let's be honest, if you aren't getting results, you don't know how or what you are doing - you just think you know. Understanding isn't knowing -doing is.

My programs are not for people who prefer to avoid their feelings, like to pretend everything is ok (when it isn't) or who want to run away from or ignore their problems.

Getting to the root cause of your weight gain requires putting your ego aside and doing the inner work, embracing vulnerability and being honest about where you are really at.
